I don't think that had anything to do with Brunelles departure

Do count the songs from Altars that they do play in their usual set. What is the number? For what would you change it?

Haha I don't really belive that either. Well, they're not playing Bleed for the Devil anymore either so.. I guess they had to compromise their setlist a bit and some tunes where left outside.

Suffocation is one of my favorites from Altars, they should change up their set and throw that in.

The same could be stated about Damnation
Thing is, their music is so intense that they only play for like just over an hour, so with every new album it's harder to choose the setlist to recite from every fan's favorite album..

I think the setlist is pretty awesome nowdays. They could exchange Where the Slime Live and Dominate by Eyes to See, Ears to Hear and Nothing but Fear

The setlist is fucking boring because they've been playing it since 2005.
They should really get off the whole auto-pilot thing...

I agree about the setlist, it's not boring and not auto pilot or whatever: it's the immortal classics that are and will always be great!
I don't agree with exchanging these songs though. I love Where the slime live and Dominate better then Eyes & Nothing.

I 100% agree with Tom, but I also last saw them in '05.

I dug Suffocation a lot myself, but when you've got so many albums to cover I guess they only play the big 3-4 from altars: immortal rites, maze, blasphemy and chapel.
Chapel is waaaaay too overplayed imo, they could bring back Visions from the darkside. The main riff is sinister as fuck.

yep, i've seen them close to a dozen times and i can't think of a single show where they didn't bust that out. it's time for it to go into retirement, forever.

Seriously, even all the live Tucker and Jared-era recordings I've heard (a shit ton), there's not a single show where they didn't play it. I bet they can play the song better than they can tie their shoelaces at this point.
I recall them ending the (only) show I went to with Evil spells, the breakdown at the end was a pretty awesome way to end the set. I'd trade chapel and blasphemy or maze in for those 2 tracks... for the next 10 years at least.

That is strange since it's a standout song.
The last WTF? track I remember hearing was either "Vengeance is Mine" or "The Lion's Den" back in 2005. But I can't remember which one.
It was just when David started up again, and the band was on the cover of some magazine (I flipped through it at a comic book store before the show). A homeless hard-on bearer asked me for change that night, and for some reason I opened my wallet and flipped through 20's before letting him know that I was changeless. The gig was also at a place Prince used to own before it burned down. Memories...
