MABB v6.6.6

In my fourteen years of surfing the net, I've read a lot of info on Morbid Angel and some fansites are really (angemorbide-site for ex), but somehow I always felt this legendary band kinda deserved an Ultimate Site, which is complete and totally based on facts instead of rumors.

The site of this legendary band is one of the most complete I've ever seen. It must have taken years of hard work and research to build such a full info-site. Just have a look on their discography and the album descriptions. Man, it's all there: the formats they were released in, the background info, when the songs were premiered live, the inlay info,... just everything a devoted fan wants to know about his favourite band. And what about a full list of all their concerts since their debut in 1981!!! WOW!!!!!



I would kill to visit such a MA-site. I know a lot of us know a lot of different things about MA, but if it would all be compiled in one site, that would be THE ULTIMATE MORBID ANGEL SITE!

Yes I agree with this. But ANGEMORBIDEE is pretty awesome imo

Maybe we should get permission from the band to create somekind of a tribute site, and then we could all contribute with photos,interviews etc

Luke, me and a few others here had a basic setup for exactly this. I don't know any of us have time to continue that project.

I think the official website should be leading and become bigger and better. When Steve Hoier ran the website years ago there was room for Q&A with Trey, hymnes, fan pics, pics with the band and much more. Void might still have that website somewhere. If the band can get into it as well and provide stuff and if there's room for fan input (pics, reviews etc) I think that would be awesome. Steve put that mini website on the Gateways cd but that didn't work out the way he wanted. Apparently the record company and the band didn't give their input on time and the result is not what he wanted.

i'd collaborate .. a good minimalist website with all the information we got from each era would be awesome and doable!

we could orient contentwise on the old fff site i still have it and some members on the bard too

i still have lots of ma stuff to share from my archives thought..

yes this was a few years ago but we had a layout, full site plan and some content.



i would still be up for it but i am limited by my knowledge of code. when i was 16 and html/java was all there was i could put a site together in twenty seconds, but in today's age i am completely clueless and rely on systems such as phpbb and blogging platforms.



i think an UNofficial site is the only way to do it, btw, the official site will never chronicle things to the utmost extremity unless one of the band members gets heavily involved, and even then it will be one sided. there have been some great incarnations of the official site over the years but in terms of an archive, i don't see the official site ever doing the band justice.

HTML, CSS and PHP are used mostly today.

From every tour since Altars there probably has to be T-shirts with the full dates and venues. Wouldn't it be if you had all this information chronologly listed.



And what about a special 'rare concerts' section like:

- the one in Tilburg '91 or '92 without David, where they played a full instrumental set.

- the ones in '94 as support for Black Sabbath with Richard temporarily back in the band

- the festival in Portugal where they performed as a 3-piece only (without Tony)

- the gigs where Phil Anselmo joined the band, when they supported Pantera

- the one where they supported SOD on their only reunion show mid-90's

- there must be others that you guys know of...



But that's just the rare and cool stuff I want to know about this band!!! But no site is providing it for the moment

I'd really like to see Pantera's "Walk" with Erik Rutan on guitar... Erik told us in an interview he once was invited to come on stage to play that song with Dime.

I knew Trey & Erik had a photo session with some guys of Pantera, that was used as a cover of some magazine, but I never knew one of them appeared with them... cool stuff

yeah, Erik has a video of that show...i wish he would share it with everyone else. Fucker.

so there are still interests in making one ?

i'd like to see what you've actually done yet. ..layout or idears n stuff
