I want to go to this since it's on a Saturday, I've never seen Incantation live, and MA finally started changing up the setlist. On the other hand it'll most likely be very cold out by that point, which has been reason enough for me to miss at least a dozen concerts in the past ten years.

I've also missed events due to excessive heat and humidity :redneck:

But in all fairness most of me missing concerts in the winter occurred back when I would wake up in the early evening. When you work in the elements all week the last thing you want to do on a day off is roll out of bed and expose yourself to even more of it. I'll probably make it out to this show. Who knows how many more tours they'll even do.

i thought they played pretty well even though the energy was kind of low. vadim is still not a favorite of mine, he doesn't seem to have much of a personality on stage. a few of his leads sounded like the album versions which is disappointing as i look forward to the improv from past guitarists.

Yeah, the playing is decent-- it's just the low energy, playing by the numbers approach that is disappointing.

I saw this too and I wasn't all that crazy about the set list. But Scott Fuller is one hell of a drummer and I still really like what Steve is doing. I still plan to see them in about a week, but I might leave before MA is done.

On a related note Incantation looks really good so far on this tour, and they're playing lots of classics in celebration of their 30th anniversary. I also didn't know how good John had gotten with his vocals, and his stage presence is phenomenal. Really powerful stuff :xx:

It's sad to compare them now to back in these days (1995)--I was there!

I know, but the entire aura of the band has changed. I saw them a few times in the early to mid 1990s as well as the early 2000s--those shows in the 1990s were almost frightening in their intensity, and a sense of...I don't know...a sinister vibe or something emanated from the stage. (My band opened for them in 1999. :) )
