MABB v6.6.6

So, I'll be attending the upcoming show in Raleigh, NC next week or so and wanted to see what the recent set list is, etc..

A recent posting on YouTube of their Santa Ana, CA show (2.22.19) is up and is sad, really sad. The rendition of God of Emptiness is beyond awful: Trey is so out of rhythm and time and you can see Steve look over at him a few times during the song (esp. during intro) with a "what the fuck" look towards Trey. The song only gets worse as it continues and Steve tries to cover up the butchery of the song by loudly yelling out the "Bow to me faithfully.." bits.

Sad stuff, but maybe Trey was just having an off night; who knows.

Vadimvon's guitar tech on facebook said Trey wasn't feeling too hot, drastic weather changes every 10 hours and their tourbus was leaking fumes and they all had black soot in their nostrils every day. I'm sure there was some other substances involved but yeah hopefully this doesn't become a regularity.

I don't think I've heard any other professional guitarist mangle a song so badly. Kudos to the rest of the band for trying to keep it together.

I saw them the next night in San Francisco. I said hi to Trey before the show, he barely acknowledged me and he didn't look like he was in a good mood (I guess now I know why). I got to meet Erik, Alex and George (from Cannibal) they were all awesome, I got to the show pretty early. I posted some of my footage of the San Francisco show on my youtube channel, Trey seemed to be playing ok, but I was on Vadim Von's side of the stage

He looks really good here - especially the older songs. Almost night and day compared to the show in the opening post, and even most shows over the past few years.

he also played really well on the fish tank show they did yesterday - hopefully that bad show was not something that has been reoccurring
