COMBICHRIST MAN DISCUSSES MORBID ANGEL REMIX

As death metal titans Morbid Angel prepare for the release of new single 'Nevermore', Andy LePlegua of Combichrist fame has spoken to Terrorizer about his exclusive remix of new Morbid track, 'Destructos VS the Earth'.
"Evil D [AKA recently returned frontman Dave Vincent] called me up and asked me if we wanted to do it, and I've known him for years, so for me it was a great idea, because I've been a big fan of Morbid Angel since I was a kid and they were one of my favourite death metal bands growing up. I guess it was a challenge to take something that was so different and it turned out great."
The remix will be included as a b-side on the 'Nevermore' single, which is taken from long-awaited new album, 'Illud Divinum Insanus' - the band's first in eight years - and will be released on Monday (May 16) through Season Of Mist.
"I'm super happy with it and I'm stoked to be a part of that," continues Andy. "It doesn't sound like Morbid Angel anymore, but I guess that was the point. It turned out almost like Laibach with those vocals and heavy electronics on it. I'm really happy with the result and stoked to be able to work with some of the artists that I grew up listening
to."

Btw I like the remix so far; maybe even better then the original.

He knows Dave as Evil D. Kinda says it all.
Once upon a time, David had to get painted up and wear goofy clothes to play in his wife's band.
Now the metamorphosis is complete. Now Evil D has to put on a David Vincent costume to play with Morbid Angel.
