one of the very best (and sadly overlooked) games that came out in the dos days. they don't make these kinds of games anymore

consumed lots and lots of my time in my youth

:nostalgia:

used to play this with friends (often drunk) A LOT

another staple of the "lets play this while drunk" marathons

Time Commando and Warcraft II are the most important games of my youth. I remember being scared to death while playing either.

I had this on playstation when I was around 9. And I cannot tell you how boring it was, I'm sure I was to young to enjoy it though.

I can't even begin to imagine how horrible a Sim City game would be on a console.

Rekindling the win of these classic games is sadly one of the most overlooked and underrated things that you can do with the vastly-available intrawebs nowadays.

You'd be surprised as to how many people all over the world are still playing games like Starcraft, Quake 3 Arena, Diablo 2 and the non-source Counter Strike 24/7.

Myself included. CS is still one of the most played online games, in fact I think its the most played FPS. It really is timeless and it runs on a poor man's PC.
Q3A seems really pointless nowadays, I always struggle finding servers, QLive is a godsend though but I don't play it much.
