and it was an incredibly deep drama for a kids' movie. Sequels indeed sucked though.
I wonder how many Bible-thumping parents scolded their children for watching this "evolutionist propaganda movie". Maybe they were fine with their kids watching the Flinstones though, you know, humans and dinosaurs living at the same time.

I had the tape too. I used to put it on literally every day after school. I saw it again recently and was really impressed at how well it still stands up.
Also, i'm pretty sure it was made, for the most part, in Ireland. As was much of the original Ninja Turtles. My old art teacher was an animator with tthe Don Bluth company.

I assume that The same characters occur in the 12 sequels to The Land Before Time as did in the original.
Doesn't prevent the fail.
In fact it increases the fail to see great films raped to pieces.
