italy trip pics

Post by beandorkio »

Yo AOD,

Went to Italy again last month and had a fuckin' ball. I stayed in Rome for 3 or 4 days, then went to Alba for a few days of tartufo blanco, then flew out of Torino. Much better than terroni-filled Parghelia.

Whereabouts do you live? I might have to visit ya.

Anyways, here's some pics from the trip. Anyone who hasn't been to Rome, I recommend the fuck out of it.

Image

Campo de Fiori. I was staying a couple of minutes walk from here. Gypsies with tumours everywhere, and great porcini. At night this place turns into a tourist meat market, drunk younguns everywhere!

Image

The Pantheon. I shit myself when I saw this. It's BIG. Like fucking BIG.

Image

Did a bit of cooking...stuffed zucchini flowers and porcini

Blow me

A view from the top of the dome at St.Peter's. I was pissing myself laughing, because some German kid with vertigo was hyperventilating with fear all the way up the stairs and kept on blubbering every time he passed a gay man's telescope.

Image

Let me fix this

Image

A bit more cooking...this time veal and porcini and creamy sauce

Image

Me and my mum in the gardens near Villa Borghese

Image

The Trevi Fountain. Words can't describe what a fucking scrum it is here...soooo many people and tourists all battling to get near the fountain and lob a coin in. If I was an enterprising gypsy, I'd buy a snorkel and clean up.

Image

Castles everywhere in Alba. And my god, the food is good. Had a couple of the best meals in years here.

Image

I love the look on Toto's face...like he's so totally over Cleopatra's shit. This was in some hotel we stayed at in Torino.

That Alba looks nice little town there.

AOD-boy lives in Milano, a place which I can't recommend for tourism. Rome I would like to visit.
