Must be one of those 'odd' council fines, since they had no name against him, so impossible to chase up or something.
They had the fine slip, it's # and then he paid....
It's Adelaide, so maybe Beano will know a bit more?

I would definitely consider doing this in the event of a stupid fine. I haven't gotten one in a long time though...last one I remember was for like $800 when I was a lot younger, and I paid with a huge wad of cash which completely shocked the people in the city hall.
I'm actually kind of curious if the fine print on something like a parking ticket says anything about not paying in change, because I know a lot of people have done this same thing in the past few years.
