Photo someone took from the fairgrounds in my town of the front of this storm system I am jamming in this period.
It just got real dark out again and I hear some rumbling. Tornado watch until 10pm for the whole state.

yeah the possibility of getting hit by a tornado is pretty awesome and metal
hopefully lots of people die and the rest have all of their things ruined

I hope that happens because of the sense of community it would inspire when people rebuild their villages.

Oh, right, I forgot I shouldn't feel excitement for interesting weather events because it would carry risk somewhere. Also it
must be because I would think it's "awesome and metal".

Of course there are negative consequences to significant weather events, but anyone who thinks that negates reasonable excitement for the event itself is an idiot. Believe it or not, it's possible to compartmentalize.

Sure, but enjoying a significant weather event is not one of those things where it is a bad idea.
Speaking of this exact thing, the wind blew my shitty cheap screen out of my front room gay man's telescope and the plants on the sill fell. Everything but the basil survived. Thankfully, I have a shit load more basil seeds, so I'll be able to easily replant tonight. In the meantime I will have to be buying my basil
On the upside, Black Books is on PBS right now.

Very little beats an oncoming storm, despite the potential for power outages. My favorite part is when the cold front swoops in and sops all the moisture out of the air and you can literally feel it disappearing. Then the skies open up and it gets nuts.
