Speaking of crickety things, I saw a type of grasshopper I've never seen around here before.

I think it is Peakesia Brunnea, the Grey Peakesia. She was 1.5-2 inches long and had, when she jumped, black wings with a green stripe.



She was sitting there, next to me, for I don't know how long before I noticed her.
