Heat wave in this period
I'm so glad it isn't climate change and the suffering is natural

Re: Heat wave in this period
It's been fucking unbearable for a week here in the East Midlands of the UK...meant to be cooling down tomorrow but at this point I'll believe it when I see it. And we don't have AC here...
For context, I'm one of those natural polar-bear types (I cycle in shorts in January) who finds it too warm over 20° and starts to shut down when it gets above 25°, and since it's been above 30° all fucking week...gah. I've been an absolute fucking wreck. No sleep, no energy, no appetite, no will to do...anything...too hot to the point where my skin peels off my hands (which makes playing guitar very painful)...if I had the money I'd move to the north of Scotland or even Norway (Bergen looks nice) in a heartbeat.

Re: Heat wave in this period
*laughs in south european*
But yeah I don't live there anymore and would hate to be back in Spain with no AC now.
Beautiful city and I regret not having taken the job.
But it has to have the worst weather in the Nordics imho. More days of rain than any other European city, like 2 out of 3 days. I think even South Florida doesn't have it that frequent. Cooler climate for sure but rain pisses me off way more than fruital heat or cold or an assload of snow, can't walk anywhere without getting wet. Even with umbrellas I still had to throw my pants in the dryer every time I got back to my hotel.
I think Souther Finland/Helsinki is ideal for me, not nearly as much rain and the underground tunnels to get around on bad days is really smart.

I was offered a job and almost moved to Bergen a few years ago. I visited and saw all the black metal landmarks of courseSvartmetall wrote: ↑27 Jun 2026, 23:48It's been fucking unbearable for a week here in the East Midlands of the UK...meant to be cooling down tomorrow but at this point I'll believe it when I see it.
