Pizza is quite popular here, especially as a delivery food option. Nothing special really as far as variations - you got the usual flavors and whatnot and the best pizzas are almost always in the more upscale Italian restaurants or in new, upstart hole-in-the-wall joints.

As far as pizza chains go, Pizza Hut is king - they're basically the 'default' pizza and you can find them literally anywhere and are always available for delivery either via their own delivery services or via the local ubereats/doordash equivalents. Shakey's and Domino's come second and third respectively then you've got California Pizza Kitchen, Papa John's, and Sbarro. I've also seen Little Caesars and Round Table in a few malls. Then there's all sorts of local pizza chains who basically just copy the menu of the previously mentioned pizza joints.

i don't like the stuff michael mentioned. i only make my own pizzas in australia, never found a good value and good taste option since my old favourite changed hands to new owners

but there's a great pizza place in chiang mai at my other house i get delivery from pretty often, i also make my own there but less often cos don't have as good an oven

i eat pizza at least twice week

i too like to fantasise in having my own little restaurant of sorts

for starters, i'm thinking of just having 5-6 items on the menu and just really focusing on those...there's definitely going to be a fried rice-based and noodle-based dish in there and a lot of peppers will go into the mix with some sort of sambal on the side

I watch the hell out of this channel. I want that peperoni cups and ricotta pie covered in honey in my facehole.

Made me appreciate just how dogshit most commercial pizza is. No flop jalops, blue chew spesh, crispy undercarriage.

i don't really know anything about the philippines but it's wild to me that i could go there and easily find a pizza hut, papa johns, or even sbarro :redneck:

The Philippians have had a...err...complicated relationship with the United States since 1898 and the Spanish–American War up until WWII and the Japanese invasion and post independence thereafter and ever since.

as for American pizza chains and such, they're basically world wide conglomerates that you'll find in almost every major country on the planet. What I find interesting is when these places are embraced by the locals with multiple locations and not just "oh yeah we have one of those at the airport and the mall"
