Which AI have you had the best experience with so far?

I'm paying for Chat GPT and accordingly that's worked best for me, but I've also used Deepseek - I'm unsure about it's output but I didn't pay for it, and Gemni Advanced that I got for free for one year because I bought a Pixel phone.

i pay for chatgpt and claude, i mostly use them for web programming stuff. haven't really used any of the others. sometimes one is better than the other
i like ai for code and tech help, despise it for anything art related. really feel conflicted about it, overall i think it's a net negative for humanity

I use AI for analysis, summarizations and agenda points for meetings. It's pretty good and helps me do a better job all round. I've built some fantastic business plans using Chat GPT.
How is Claude for analysis Zim? For spreadsheets and article summarizations?

i haven't used it for that kind of work. i wouldn't trust it with any kind of math. i like claude because it handles uploading multiple files well but chatgpt has given me better answers.
it's good for summarizing things and taking notes, we use it in microsoft teams meetings for summaries.
my gripe with claude right now is that you have no idea what your daily limit is and will have to wait 24 hours for it to reset if you hit it
i really like this ai feature on my google pixel that lets me circle things in pictures. it's been really accurate so far

Anyone in any creative field is already dealing with dropshippers and ai even from stores like Michael’s. AI for art scrapes info from artists without consent its bad. It is upsetting stores that cater to the artsy type are caving into the ai trend and not listening to their customers.
Ai i think has its place even in the art field but we need protections for human creators and clear rules. I could see it being super useful creating templates for cutting machines (home use only not commercial) and inspo boards. Also color pallets and come in handy for home use like a lot of free image sites already are for those who aren’t tech savvy/can’t use programs like inkscape or illustrator.

Adobe Generative AI has been a blast to use so far. I use it almost everyday for several social media images where I need to make detailed adjustments (e.g. things like turning a male-shaped silhouette graphic to a female shape, removing or adjusting a part of clothing of the headshot to be edited).
Adobe Firefly is useful in a sense that folks who are not designers can take an image sized for (let's say) LinkedIn and have it resized proportionally for a particular purpose (e.g. CVENT banners, Marketo banners).

i have used gemini a little bit and firefly a little bit
i use it for little things like finding sources, formatting citations, and basically a quicker version of wikipedia

my and i go to a handful of conventions every year where there are lots of artists and the amount of ai art that is being sold is really depressing. also seeing it sold in stores like michaels and hobby lobby

Yeah I shop hobby lobby a lot for wood blanks, christmass ornament blanks, and amber glass because of their sales made my blood boil to see obvious ai. Like if you are gonna do it at least try to trick us.
Id totally use it for prompts, ideas, and even to help nake quick stencils/templates if it wasn’t stealing from people.

the 'some reason' is everyone's getting desperate to show growth so they can get one more round of funding in before the whole thing collapses. at this point someone's probably just gonna tear down all their CSAM guardrails just to juice the numbers.
i wish that everyone involved in this whole sordid enterprise were treated as the pariahs they ought to be after this is all over. AI people, the investors propping them up, their analyst & media boosters, etc, every last one should be permanently shunned, but they'll of course walk away fabulously wealthy and/or unscathed

well, genAI is hideously expensive to run and cannot ever be profitable. we are constantly told by credulous boosters that it will only get better and cheaper over time. but costs are in runaway acceleration, the tech has not meaningfully improved in spite of that, and there are hard limits to how good inference models can ever be.
so there is some cause for optimism. there is a nonzero chance this mostly goes away once the bubble bursts!

I really don't like how wrapped into it this field is getting. Our IT dept was talking about using it to write assessments and treatment plans. I dont even like using it for documentation. When I hear people talk about actually using chatbots for psychotherapy I want to scream.
