I know people have been saying for years now that Hollywood is out of ideas…. But I feel like lately they’re going out of their way to prove that to be true.

as was obvious from the moment the idea for a sequel was first floated, it's going to be terrible and shouldn't exist. more crass nostalgia to transport its audience back to a better time that never existed, and forget for a fleeting moment that their society can no longer offer a better future and has given up even trying to pretend it can.
