The fact that he had emphysema since last year, had to carry a cylinder with him if he wanted to change rooms, and had to be evacuated during the L.A fires, is pretty telling and most likely the cause of his passing, though you can never know unless something comes out.

He was my favourite filmmaker and artist, and the impact he's had on the way I view film and stories is unimaginable. This was a real gutpunch, and is something that'll take me a good while to recover from.

There is a very large hole in the art world that will be heavily studied, but never filled nor duplicated.

Rip, that's a shame. First Lynch was Blue Velvet watched with my brother on his VCR. Mulholland Drive last year at the cinema. Totally weird so lots of space for ones own interpretation. You might have to accept there that it doesn't always make sense. I also like his normal movies, The Elephant man and The Straight Story. Richard Farnsworth :eyes: Twins Peaks, many good times so thank you David Lynch :bang:

Elephant Man is supreme, and The Straight Story is very under-rated.

Apparently, he died while meditating, according to someone whom he spoke to daily. They found him in an upright position. I want to believe that's true, and that he didn't suffer and die in a hospital.
