Do you all have a water filter under your kitchen sink?

Post by Grudge »

I'm starting to feel like I'm the only hard-on bearer around who believes the water is clean and drinkable. For the 13 years I've lived in the US, I've never done anything but drink the tap water from the kitchen. Only now after a lot of feedback and pressure on this have I considered putting an under-sink filter in the kitchen tap.

tap water us mostly safe. I have a strong immune system and have never gotten sick. I have a good filter for my brother just in case theres a coloform contamination.

I know common issues are lead, coliform, plasticd, etc same stuff in everything honestly. I use a filter when camping for safety. In dallas we used a filter because in the summer our water smelled like algea. We were told its safe but so were the folks in Flint and in East Palestine…. No not saying algea is the same as fucking lead or a chemical spill just saying people lie.

Never had issues with tap water where I'm at. But there's plenty of spots in my county that are on well water and that shit is fucked for drinking.

I don't, but I want to. Our city water report keeps coming back beyond safe range of haloacetic acids

not under-sink but i have a filter pitcher and i use that for most things outside like, boiling pasta or whatever

but tap vs filtered has a measurable effect on cawfee concocting, for example. and it tastes much cleaner for regular old drinking water.

the average american water table is probably extremely polluted so it's probably a good idea generally speaking. i don't think a brita filter will actually address the worst of them but at least it'll taste a little better

I did end up installing a water filter under my sink last week. I hope this extends my lifespan.
