mine's already out there from the equifax breach and also my student loan servicer and probably a dozen others

So far have you had any issues from that?

I've changed my password on most of the critical sites and I've mostly taken a step back from social media and deleted profiles there etc.

nothing so far that i've ever been made aware of, nobody's taken out credit in my name and as far as i know i haven't had any bank accounts opened using my info. no accounts of consequence hijacked. i should put security freezes on all my consumer reports, but i'm quite lazy

i am yet to be affected by a data breach, but i have all my shit all over the place, it would take concerted effort to put together any kind of picture about the strange dude i am from triangulation of sources, including the ones that have to use my real name. i use bullshit names and details for everything. now if someone stole my laptop, that would be interesting

I wonder if the US is the most breached country because of its lax data privacy and protection policies.
