Mandatory nye thread

Visiting family in Zwolle. But I hope to be home in time for a peaceful evening because same shit next year so why celebrate

For next year I hope to find a routine for chess practice. 12-15 hours a week, I have plenty of time. I could never find consistency in anything so that is a challenge in itself Also work out more, four times a week instead of three. To win time I plan to drink less beer and spend less time behind a screen. I have already started this and it works

Watching the ravens game this afternoon. Don't really have any plans besides that.

Been off since the 23rd. Don't have to go back until the 2nd

Just decided to see Godzilla Minus One this afternoon.

I've already done my daily bit of weight-loss cycling, so now I'm up in the studio trying to finish off the epic 'Siren Songs in the Twilight Ocean', a 30+ minute H.P. Lovecraft-inspired piece in over 50 parts which I've been working on for like 6 months and just needs the very last few minutes' worth of weird siren-song music doing now.

Also indulging in some high end bread, cheese, salami etc (I'm allowng myself some foodie indulgences over the festive season) with a bottle or two of some quite nice cabernet sauvignon

Watching the Green Bay Packers loose to the Minnesota Vikings.

Eat some fish. Drink some beer.

Go to sleep.

not sure yet, we got the news last night around 10 and by the sound of it he passed earlier in the day. might've been an OD or something, as far as anybody knows he didn't have any health problems. still waiting on details at this point.

damn, that bites
