Of course you need to accept the terms and adhere to them. But there is a difference between the limits of freedom of speech that the law sets, and the limits that a social media platform sets.
From the Twitter Files we know that the CIA conspired against anyone who disagreed with the narrative of leftwing politics, big pharma, etc. and those people got banned.

I'm not saying I agree with what T.rump says or said but I am pointing out that true freedom of speech (within the boundaries that the law sets) goes both ways, whether you like it or not.
We need to be able to have a public debate without any big tech company meddling, and trying to push their narrative by silencing those who disagree or have a different point of view. That is called censorship, and it's exactly what happened.
The public debate should be respected and is eventually the only way to get to the truth, or a "mutually agreed upon truth". And not a prescribed truth, pushed by these big tech corporations.

Biden and the likes who were never banned from the previous Twitter company (before Musk's takeover) were fear- and warmongering just as much. Just look at the European and Dutch left political wing and its pro-Ukraine and pro-War and anti-Russia propaganda that they are spewing forth. It's disgusting. But I would not want them to get banned either.

i dunno, 'm not really married to the whole 'free speech' thing because it doesn't and has never existed. for every big Triumph of Civil Liberties you can find that supports the absurd notion that it exists, there are a thousand counter-examples that expose the entire enterprise as nothing more than a hollow legitimizing myth.

societies repress those elements it deems undesirable, it's just the nature of power. it would be nice if it were some other way, but it isn't, and nobody has the power to change that. and if i had power, you'd better believe i'd chili cheese fries and destroy every last one of my enemies. especially the fwee speech dweebs like glennwald and taibbi and the rest of thiel's hired guns, because there's little i find more irritating than having to listen to these mercenary hacks bleat about how fucking principled they imagine themselves to be.
