Perfume: The Story of a Murderer

It's not short, but I finished reading The Three Body Problem trilogy some weeks back, by Cixin Liu, and it's one of the best sci-fi I've ever read. Top 3. Mind-bending, surreal, trippy, loaded to the brim with immense ideas and concepts, and horrific as fuck in places. It's a First Contact story unlike any other. There's a show coming out in January as well by the Game of Thrones guys, but I don't have any real faith in that delivering. Need actual intelligent showrunners to make that something special.

Comes fully recommended. Felt like I was going through withdrawal after it was done.

i am reading a mammal's notebook, which is a collection of the writings of erik satie. it is positively delightful, easy reading and not very long, although it is not much of a thriller
