the rittenhouse trial

what a sham of a trail on this obviously guilty piece of shit. It's looking like he might walk thanks to a sympathetic judge.
I wouldn't be shocked if one of the victims family members pulls a
Samuel L Jackson on him if he does get off.
for those that don't know, this asshat traveled from Illinois to Kenosha, Wisconsin last year during the protests (a town he had zero connection to) armed with an AR15 and shot 3 protestors, killing 2 of them. his lawyers have been arguing self defense. the trail has been fucking clown shoes from the get go.

The judge usn’t the problem its the prosecution
If it was so cut and dry the prosecution wouldn’t be a hot mess is all I’ll say.
I’ve heard multiple contradicting accounts non of us were there we don’t know the truth. It’s easy to get emotional and think we do in high profile cases ive done it too i just give zero fucks about this one.

I am annoyed all around with the Rittenhouse trial
Prosecution overcharged, him seeming to provoke shit, race being brought in to stir emotions when its white on white, a lot of nonsense.
It’s a sign of our times.

if this happened where he lived one could maybe argue he was acting in self defense of himself / others / his property. The fact that he traveled to another city that he had zero connection to is a hell of a motive. He went there with intent to kill. I don’t know if race had anything to do with it, but even if not he’s still guilty as fuck.

I never said this was a normal trial i said it was highly emotional as with other high profile cases. Ive gotten wrapped up in them before and try not to now.
My annoyance is how people per usual present things and manipulate the public causing division and making it hard to find juries.
I dont know why he was there if i hadnt made that clear i am now. I am saying what i have heard thats all.

Clean up what? Bodies of people he shot?
There was apparently evidence if him cleaning grafiti i dont know if true or not doesnt explain wjy he was at the protest with a eeapon.
If the prosecution had gone for manslaughter and inciting a riot iknow there wouldn’t have been as many fuck ups because thats easier to prove here.
He did something wrong just not positive its first degree murder in this instance thats what i mean by overcharged.
Theres a lot of undo anger towards people who dont agree 100% over shitty people creating shitty situations around other shitty people here.

He was hanging out with Proud Boys after who were congratulating him on a job well done. The graffiti thing is gaslighting by Republicans to make him not look as bad. Manson played guitar in church, Gacy was a community leader. Doesn't excuse what they did.
I hadnt followed the case if he was hanging with proud boys fuck hom thoroughly
I know being upstanding doesn’t mean shit thats why i wuestion the weapon at a riot.

your annoyance is directed at "the media and government per usual"
the government conducts trials
but you're also annoyed with the media and now "people per usual" presenting "things"
things like how he was "there to clean up or something"
this kid is a fascist and he went to kenosha hoping to kill people. that's neither obscure information nor debatable
i understand it's easier to both-sides this than look into it, but don't act like you're doing anything other than that

I honestly hadnt heard he was congratulated and actively hing out with/by proud boys. I avoid most media since i can’t take their bullshit.
I kust thought he was a stupid white kid causing shit for who knows why and was treating his case like i would any other trying to hear all sides.

the killings have effectively been turned into state-sanctioned headhunting of protestors, for which the perpetrator was handsomely rewarded (somewhere around half a mil by my last count though that's quite old).
prosecution and judge are both in the bag for the kid. nothing that anyone can do about it, shit sucks and there's no solution!

important to remember that the kenosha PD facilitated the killings by deliberately kettling the demonstrators into the areas controlled by the rightwing militias
definitely expect to see more of this stuff in future protest movements etc

But also looking for confrontation armed and then claiming self defence

The Aubrey case you cannot claim self defense if you are chasing the victim. That is three racists pieces of shit getting what they deserved for blatantly breaking the law.

I remember seeing the video of that when it was released last year and it pissed me off to no end - they almost got away with it thanks to their connections. They got what they deserved for what was a modern day lynching. I was a little worried the jury would go the other way, especially after the rottenhouse trial, but thankfully not.

Oh and yes the email blasts can get annoying. I really don’t need 10 email invites a day for webinars that talk about raising money to get black kids into college and about black inclusion in higher positions in the workplace.

The thing in America very few in power talk about is it isn’t just race its wealth. Classism is a huge problem and ostracizing anyone because of wealth or lack there of creates violence and unrest.
