it is way overrated and people who have read it more than once are particularly embarrassing to the planet

I always thought that some of the expanded universe books that were written in the 80's and 90's were fantastic and would have made very enjoyable films (this was all per-prequels). of course none of the matters now anyways since the new movies decided to take a shit on any and all canon of the expanded universe. oh well.

while not a sequel - I did enjoy Rouge One. that's about it as far as the new movies go - not the controversial I suppose though.

A part of me is quite enjoying the Schadenfreude of all the plague rats killing themselves lately.

Like, I honestly don't care about them or their families because their deaths were entirely preventable. is that controversial? I feel like a lot of people share similar views lately.....

if someone refuses the vaccine and dies of covid, it is not true that their death was "entirely preventable". it is not guaranteed they wouldnt have died if they had been vaccinated. although i agree they should get vaccinated, and if they do, they will likely be much less sick, and be less likely to die. i would rather the pro-vaccine people didnt exaggerate the benefits. its probably of benefit to the general community if the anti-vaccine people got vaccinated, and so it is maybe a better strategy to stick to actual facts instead of exaggerations

also, should we also not give a shit and waste medical resources on people who smoke?

what about people who have shit diets? will we start grading the healthcare people deserve based on how reasonable their lifestyle is?

a lot of people in america have a very favorable view of restricting access to healthcare on the basis of "personal responsibility"

Smaller churches are not really businesses they act more as community centers. I totally get the desire to tax them and do not find it offensive but considering non profits don't pay taxes I do not see the difference, how cannyou tax one but not both?

the issue is that how much tax they pay should not be changed by the fact they are religious businesses/companies/groups/whatever
