For real though it's gets so congested because once you get over the bridge to get on the eastern shore it's a 2 lane road. A 2 lane road for the biggest tourist spot in the state during the summer, it just makes no fucking sense.

The aftermath of the explosion. If you zoom in you can see where they built up a wall of sand from them dragging the beach making sure nothing was leftover.
