Well in that case, grade ten and I'm taking:

Geophysical Science

Gym

Media

Italian

Human Anatomy and Physiology

Sequential Math II (it's geometry but at a slower pace)

U.S. History I (I think we're going up to the Civil War)

English (we're doing American literature)

good subjects

I don't understand geophys at all. Most of what we learned involves math and I am terrible with math. My English teacher also needs to stop picking shitty authors. I DO NOT LIKE ERNEST HEMINGWAY.

Ernest Hemingway's Old Man bored me to sleep when i tried reading it. Never touched it again after that

I remember taking American Lit and falling asleep reading everything assigned. I enjoyed my Brit Lit class a lot more. Maybe it'll be the same with you Redd.

I've disliked everything we've read so far. Hemingway's characters have absolutely no personality and his writing is boring. I'm hoping we read better things next year in British literature. I think we might be reading Brave New World. I know the AP classes read Nineteen Eighty-Four.

I'll read a book that's actually worth reading.

Nope, they all listen to mainstream stuff.

When I was in high school, there were a few metal kids. The thing is, they never went to school. They'd show up like twice a week. I didn't go to school much either during my junior and senior years. Redd, are you sometimes truant?

I nearly fell asleep in geophys once, but that was the closest I've ever come to falling asleep.

@ Pentelesh:

If I have a cold I go. I don't go unless I'm puking or something similar.

in high school, i had enough metalhead friends to fill three lunch tables. i hung out with many different groups too. good times.

Re: Sup Redd

There were only a couple of metalheads at my school. I hung out with a mixed crowd of miscreants, though. I was more into noise back then.

it must be a purely nostalgic appeal because the emo radio crap they play today is little different yet i can't stand it.

Nah I think it is because the older stuff was more real and this new shit is just lame rehashings and sterile cashcows.

Almost everyone is just trying to recreate niches from times past.

When I was in university there was only like 4 guys/gals out of 1600 who had the audacity to wear a metal band shirt at school. THAT was weird!

Re: Sup Redd

I was one of the only few metal kids in school. Hell, I was the only one in the school that wore an Emperor shirt and an Immortal shirt.

I don't have any metal T-shirts.
