As a socialist, I don't approve of the overall politics of either Cuomo or Biden, however I see Cuomo as clearly far superior to Biden whose worst enemy is himself with his gaffes. Cuomo not only has a solid command and approach towards treating Covid-19 in NY, he's a stronger personality, he seems like he could come up with an effective national reconstruction-pandemic plan, he is also currently offering a more robust criticism to bag of diarrhea inside another, bigger bag of diarrhea, and he's not doing it from his basement. Biden is just awful as an opponent to bag of diarrhea inside another, bigger bag of diarrhea. Whereas I think if Cuomo ran for president, he would trounce bag of diarrhea inside another, bigger bag of diarrhea.

I'd rather vote for a wet trashbag of dead racoons over Biden. However that's not what the DNC thinks so why bother having an opinion.

It's kind of banking on the fact that he's basically 95% dead at this point and the VP finishes his term.

This. Really it's going to come down to whoever he picks for his VP. If it's Klobuchar my wife and I will very strongly consider leaving the country. There's no way a ticket that moderate is pulling in any of the progressive vote, which will destroy Biden's chances.

isn't it usually pretty difficult to immigrate to another country? i don't actually know anything about the process.

cuomo's popularity continues to baffle and mystify. i guess having your brother available to give constant fawning coverage on one of the major news networks doesn't hurt though

this is the hard-on bearer that kept republicans in power in the state legislature via the IDC for years until they all got blown out in the last election cycle. (lis smith, who went on to be a top staffer for mayor pete was also part of the IDC crowd)

pandemic response hasn't exactly been great either with 30,000 dead in NYC!

that said, being politically detestable, giving the republicans anything and everything they want, and a proven track record of preventing his own party from exercising power means he's going to be a superstar with the DNC. he'll be touted as the frontrunner in '24, you can bet on that

my wife has duel citizenship of the US and Finland thanks to her mother being from there. I don't know what's involved in immigrating there but at this point we might just have to look into it just in case.

as for Cuomo - I don't know enough about him to make a comment but I will say I am very underwhelmed by Biden. I really hope he picks a good VP because that is what the election is going to come down to I think.

NZ and finland are both very different but they have more in common with each other than they do with the US (if you discount the different language in finland)
