one motif...intro-conflict-house being a smartass-making a brilliant diagnosis
but there's always a running theme that you'd know if you were into it. house is a drug addict, sometimes psychotic, and has nearly died like 5 times. part of the fun of the show is to see what kind of narcissistic trouble he gets himself into.
