Solipsism is the philosophical idea that one's own mind is all that exists

When I was a little kid around the years from 12-14 I had thoughts like these and believed it was true for a long time, I never knew it actually had a name though. Incredibly strange thoughts indeed. Thoughts anyone?

:interessant:

Sounds like a good description of religious thinking. "Truth is relative".

I'm not entirely sure that NDMG operates beyond this level.

In film studies, Solipsism also refers to the process of creating an image in a viewers mind without actually showing it.

For example, people are shown standing at a train station. Then a whistle sound is played and the viewer automatically assumes that a train is pulling in.

Or something to that effect.
