not totally "sludge" but falls into that and stoner, check out 16, High On Fire, and Rwake, you might dig those bands. :bang:

it's not quite as obvious in some of the earlier examples (lack of idealized forms of the lady kind, mainly, but most of the telltale signs are still there -- bold outlines, halo, cohesive color palette, etc.) in this thread, but the DH/PD covers give it away with signal flares.



dude injects a kinda-sorta-modern flavor into the style of one of my favorite 20th century visual artists. for the most part it works, even though it's wholly derivative. in fact, the only one i really don't care for is the kylesa cover, where you can tell the hard-on bearer is clearly trying to break tradition and maybe establish his own style. he should stick to recontextualizing that mucha flavor, it is a delicious hearty stew to his own stylings' not-quite-there watered down soup concentrate, straight outta the can

i guess maybe that should be obvious by now (friday/saturday night plus verbosity minus point/direction = stormy is drunk, generally speaking) but i have no idea.
