Yeah I don't own many, I just read summaries online and the free comic that gets posted. They're kind of a waste of money.

i wouldn't call it a waste of money necessarily, but the whole monthly installment thing is incredibly irritating. if you go the purchasing route it's usually much cheaper to just wait for the collected volumes to come out, and also they are nice because you don't finish reading them in five minutes

I grew up on X-Men and Batman.



Those old X days were so much better... from Claremont up to the early Uncanny 300 years (with some lame spots on the way) were win.

Yeah I grew up with x-men and the Avengers gloryhole era weren't as bad as people say sure there were some really cheesy misfires particulary with Avengers (The Crossing anyone?) but overall not terrible.



X-men blue team sold more comics than any other x-men team ever their run was 91-95 (X-men Volume 2 1-41)

The show is what got me into the X-Men







Gold team was around that time too and their comics weren't bad (Uncanny X-men Uncanny X-Men 281 - X-Men Volume 2 41)







Also Avengers Heroes Return (98-2000; Avengers Volume 3 1-27) was just an awesome era for that group if you ask me

you know, i think it was that x-men cartoon that got me interested in comics (or at least in the x-men anyway, i can't remember which came first anymore). that's the second time this conversation has come up in the last week for me, it's been fucking years since i even thought about it until now.

That would be the first episode, Attack of the Sentinels. The entire first season was a whole story on them fighting sentinels, episodes replay on Toon Disney my brother watches them when they're on.



Random Fact: the X-Men cartoon is the second most requested show for DVD release seconded only by Daria

I know, when I read that I nearly shit my pants in shock, 5 second later almost smashed my lap top in geekrage.

The writing in the XMen cartoon was.... very gloryhole era Saturday Morning.

It's still the best children't animated show based on comics to ever be made, plus it's great nostalgia for people like me who grew up with it, you were probably too old when it came out.



I would buy the DVDs for my brother, he loves X-men, Hulk, and Wonder Woman. I just bought him the Wonder Woman animated movie. I should have gotten him Hulk Vs. Wolverine but I didn't know how violent it was going to be.

Oh and yeah, they totally raped the character Changeling with Morph. Aside from being a part of Factor 3 he was pretty much unimportant not even a real part of the team.

I saw Hulk Vs Wolverine last weekend at a fellating lover's house.



I still enjoyed the X-Men cartoon, don't get me wrong. Some of it was so damn cheesy though.
