you posted the family hard-on bearer thing, and when the creepy old pedo came, i interpereted it as a metophor towards me being a creepy hard-on bearer bringing something to the mabb table that no one wants. the mabb was happy and grand as the disney world represents, then i (the creepy old pedo) shows up at the door with the shiny red scrapple and no one wants it. obviously you didn't actually intend so, and your post was of no substance. damn, i'm proud for bringing something new to the table, and disapointed for you posting something random and void of substance.

What's on your mind?

its oinka to me, remember? what does cellular respiration mean? i've considered going back to school and jumping on the east meets west chakra mind body study in psychology. *although i doubt i actuall will) lots of people (including myself) have had big time mystical experiences. surely there is a physical rational explanation that can be measured, right? i'm a believer.
Re: noyka

Karmablade?
Cellular respiration is how the cell creates energy there are three ways kreb's cycle which creates the coenzymes and one ATP. The coenzymes allow more ATP (energy) to be created later. Glycolysis which is the break down of sugar and electron transport chains.

Okay well I'm a nutrition major there's a lot of organic chemistry and physiology involved in understanding the chemistry of food. Every field has it's own language including a field you mentioned earlier psychology. You know going into psychology you'll probably have to take anatomy or human biology right? That means you'll have to know all this terminology and then some.
I love mirror neurons

i dread it, i would only learn it to pass the exams and fit in. learning termonoligy is just so tedious, ya know? memorize this and yadayada. uhhhggghh. thats all it is. plug in your knowledge to these terms. i know my plight is immature and naive, but still.

noyka, since your a nutrition major, what have you say about raw food and juicing diets and juice or water fasting? i've practiced them for spiritual purposes and have experienced positive results. plus, there are many testimonials on the net which say the same, even if its all due to psycho-somatic contrived results. a result is a result none the less though, right? how about what you have to say?

I would also like to know about raw food and juicing diets, I saw a family on tv the other day who ate nothing but this diet.
Re: noyka

Terminology doesn't bother me. I'm in it for the science and not the social aspect so I enjoy learning the concepts, terminology is just a part of that.
Good luck in whatever you do.
Raw food I have not researched the diet I've not heard anything bad about it but I'm not going to endorse it.
Juice only: I'd think you'd get a lack of protein short term it might not do any damage but I'm not sure.
Fasting: short term you're going to still go into an alternate energy system (I'm blanking on the name right now sorry) which is stealing energy from other parts of your body and slowing your metabolism down just to keep your brain functioning. I'd assume the same would happen with a juice only diet. Remember your brain runs on glycogen which is a form of what essentiall will be energy created from carbs that you ingest (including sugars, which carbs are turned into over time) when you run out of carbs your body is going to start stealing energy from itself to keep the brain going.
I have not really started with the details of my major yet, I'm focusing on physiology and understanding energy systems and the basic chemistry right now (I have zero foundation). Can't do anything without a good base

Re: noyka

yah i've tried the fasting thing, and once again even if psychosamatic, i did feel physical and mental results. i've read before that aristotle or plato or one of those greek dudes practiced it to sharpen mental clarity. and even if simply so, the concept is that the body looks for energy elsewhere than the digestive system (which uses a large bit of energy), so it looks elsewhere to benign tumors of toxins accumulated for entire lifetimes. i've read testimonials with photo evidence where people's tongues became coated with whiteness then cleared to the most clearest of fleshy coatings ever. and of course the mental clarity. the body supposedly attacks all that bad stuff as a defense mechanism against starvation. also, the case of the hard-on bearer stranded in an ocean cave for 40 days. he literally craved fish eyeballs for no other reason than that his body told him so because it needed it.

cool stuff. i'm into it.
*edit* ignoring your post as i post this anyways.

i read something about protein the other day concerning vegetarians. i read something about what is called the "complete protein...maybe it was complex...anywhoo if it rings a bell it does." its something that vegetarians miss out on, and that only a few vegetarian foods can substitute. one being tofu. ring a bell?

Complete protein?
There are 21 amino acids but we only need to consume 8 of them, the others we make on our own and are non essential.
Vegetarians can get complete proteins from eating things like bean and whole wheat bread. On their own each contain certain amino acids put them together and you have all of the essential amino acids creating a complete protein.

okay maybe what i mentioned was pseudo vegan shit. but you answered it anyway. while we're on the topic. vegetarianism is a great cause and idea right? i've also heard another rumor about how long it takes for the body to digest meat and also complex carbs like pasta, and i right, as opposed to veges which pass more easily?
Re: noyka

Complex carbs are one of the healthiest things you can eat. They take more time to break down and that's actually good for you. Non digestable fibers help your digestive system as well, if you're constipated or having stomach problems fiber is extremely important things like scrapple (the skin), pear, and whole grain
Vegetarianism is healthy as long as you eat some animal products occasionally B12 is very important. Vegans will eventually deplete their stored B12 if they don't take natural supplements which are not always easily absorbed from what I understand.
The cause is BS, many animals such as cows are man made and the dairy industry isn't as abusive as people think. Remember these animals are the farmer's lives.

yah, i don't buy into the fact that the animal industry tends to be abusive....just kidding i do. thats besides the point though, so you are saying that no matter what a vegan is depleting himself of an important vitamin? i don't buy it. i'm sure there's a way. there are a lot of healthy vegans out there.

I said unless you take the vitamin. Sometimes there are issues with absorbancy but this can happen even when you eat animal products.

i've exhausted my expertise on the subject. but, as far as animal abuse goes. i know you tend to be a blind conservative. what about this animal abuse thing? i feel dumb saying this as its such a far fetch. but keeping chickens in cages only their size? that must be miserable right? to what extent to you really believe that animals are treated kindly and fairly? i'm going off on an arbitrary-towards-the-subject uneducated tangent her, but...anywhoo?

Chickens are kept in cages they can walk around in, it's a law now at least here in California. Dairy cows have room to move and what not. I really value human life over animal life. What is inhumane? Stomping chickens obviously but you know what that's the indiviudal worker's fault not the company or the farm's policy often times.
Don't ever call me a conservative again, I'm a libertarian there's a difference.
I'm glad to see any member come back.
Why do you value my opinion there are others you could ask

i dunno i'm attracted to you for some reason even if its creepy, and my conservative accusations are just jokes, just like any real and serious political stance i take on things (is/are). but i do lean towards the accusation that animals are treated unfairly...whether or not there are facts to back it, i just do. its just an intuition, and i'm sure i'm right about it. at least that the quality of their life comes second to their value as a product on the market.
*edit* once again, this is a totally vague assumption, but i feel that its at least true.
*double edit* i also don't actually act on or identify with this. *shrugs*

what, a vague assumption or true, i'm guessing true. i know that kobe feef cows are fed beer and massaged and free to roam the grazes. is the extreme opposite true? i at leat know the opposite is true, which once again i'm not taking a self-rightieous stance, but i ideally lean towards the opposite.

yah i have, and according to the attitudes i've observed in people who are at least in a position to control the industry, it is true. i mean, imagine your stereotypical hick....i would bet that at least 80% of the time, this is the hard-on bearer responsible for the cow, chicken, and pig industry.
a careless and mocking attitude towards the humanity of the animals. and thats not a joke. its the real deal. as a big sidenote, this is an area that occurs comorbidly with the same type of people concerning religion and multiculturalism. its the same people who support, vote and act uppon killing gays, while they love to watch lesbian porn. its not just a superficial observation...it is that, but they really believe in that an support it...and you oinka, vote on its behalf with your precious protective conservatosm/jeffersonian libertarianism....which votes for the repblicans, which simply stands in shadow of my accusation.

Nobody is for the outright mistreatment of animals but I'm against people forcing animal "rights". A lot of this is a ploy to control us environmentalists are huge lobiest there is a lot behind "animal rights" that I cannot support and I will never supprt. I have a big soft spot for animals and would never support anything to harm them. But I also value human life, we need a balance neither issue should take priority and many believe that animals come before humans.

i'm a hypocrite when it comes to how much i care and take action about animal rights. i easily and carelessly eat mass produced animals. i have a soft spot to but i don't actually act upon it. yah, i guess when you look at the food chain, we are above animals, and i know a lot of people believe so, but can you at least acknowledge that given what you have heard, a lot of animals really are given shitty lives for mass production? is this so hard to believe? once again, i'm not actually taking a stance. i'm a hypocrite and pretty lame when it comes to politics, and i don't even know a great amount about the details of the subject, but it wouldn't suprise me a bit if the accusations about shitty chicken environments were true. the peta nd all their hollier-than-art-though campaigns have acted upon the said, but i'm 100 percent sure that at least their intetions are true. given room to walk around...i'm sure this is true...but couped up in a cage only the size of their body and fed hormones, i don't know, but i intuit this is true also.
