how can you make a book with 9 lines in it into a movie? they are going to ruin it by adding a bunch of stupid shit (see every remake by Tim Burton).

by adding more lines.
ive always thought that book would be an awesome movie.
in my honest opinion, its not the lines that makes the book awesome.

yes i agree. its the pictures and the message of using your imagination. well thats why the movie is terrible. the movie makes it so i no longer have to use my imagination to fill in the gaps and can just watch a movie. i have a very specific idea of what the monsters sound like, what Max sounds like, etc, and thats what made that book, or any book, good.
i guess i just dont like hollywood. last movie i saw in theaters was Wall-E and thats just because it was free. before that i think the last time i saw a movie in theaters was in 2004 or 5 and i dont remember what i saw.

this movie looks awesome because i watched the commercial with my parents who read the book with me when i was a kid, and we were all like "we've gotta go watch that movie!"

me being a pretentious stuck up black metal snob has nothing to do with the quality of this movie. nor does it have anything to do with hollywood raping my childhood and my imagination. (see the new Indiana Jones for a literal example of that)
but me being a pretentious stuck up black metal snob has a lot to do with the fact that i dont like emperor and immortal nearly as much as the rest of the bard.
give me my black legions over those bands any day.
