all of Trombone's 3rd litter have died :(



it was sad, T-bone was licking her babies as I took them away, only 2/3-ish weeks old

they were cold, and they died with their sweet little eyes open, it was very sad





I still haven't washed my hands, they smell like dirt, gasoline, and dead.

that sucks. I always hated having to bury pets.

so here's the story:



one of them had died about 4 days ago, so she moved her kitties, and i hadn't yet buried the dead one, i just hadn't wanted to mess with it. Well, i finally last night decided to go ahead and take care of it...it still felt alive, barely even cold, no rigor mortis...it was sad.



Well, i decided to check on the other too, they had been crawling around just a few hours before...well, they weren't, and what was strange is, one was stiff as a board, and the other was limp as a noodle...trombone was crying and licking them...it was sad...she still hasn't left the room where they were kept



i buried them in between the 2 big oaks in the front yard, because kitties like to climb trees.



and if anyone was wondering why my hands smelled like gas, I used gas to purify the burial site/burn away any stench so as to keep away any scavengers



blah.

What caused their deaths? As a c at owner, this is very sad.

strange, confusing feeling to touch dead pets for burying. how fast they get from sweet soft tenderness to a stiff frozen board.
