Guilty Verdict Returned In Horrific Crime



On Friday, jurors in West Palm Beach found Nathan Walker Jr. guilty of eleven counts of sexual battery, kidnapping, burglary, and grand theft auto in the fruital assault of a woman and her son in Dunbar Village. The verdict came over two years after the attack by a gang of multiple men and boys on the woman and her 12-year-old son in such a depraved crime that it garnered national headlines.



The gang forced themselves inside of the home of the mother and son and demanded money. The mother had no money and was then taken into a bedroom where she was sodomized with a rifle. The victim testified that in total, 10 different people raped, sodomized and beat her.



At the same time, other criminals were beating her son in the other room. The violent gang of thugs then made both mother and son get in the bathtub to wash off. The mother was then forced to perform oral sex on her son before the group poured chemicals on mother and son. The chemicals burned their eyes and the thugs were going to set them on fire but could not find a lighter.



Walker was found guilty on the same day that a separate jury also found a co-defendant, Tommy Poindexter, guilty on charges of sexual battery, kidnapping, and burglary. Walker, Poindexter, and 16-year-old Avion Lawson, who pled guilty, are facing life in prison for their depraved crimes.

They need to bring back public executions. Make theirs horrific.

I wish they would. the death penalty as it is now is not a deterrent.

Chopping people's hands off didn't stop many others from stealing either, so gruesome public executions won't stop others from attacking.

Violence is largely a consequence of the widespread notion that violence is an acceptable tool for solving social problems. Violence can't prevent or downsize violence anymore than cancer can beat cancer.



Add to that that people who commit sick crimes like these were typically abused or dealt some sort of trauma as children. While they're not safe to be let free, they need to be shown compassion and understanding; bad people don't just magically appear out of nothing. Ignoring what's done to people who later become murderers and rapists is like trying to fight obesity while ignoring early dietary habits.

Agreed. We need to work on rehabilitating prisoners and understanding why they did what they did, not just throwing them in jail for x amount of time.

I agree but I personally don't think rehabilitated prisoners should be allowed back into civilization.

Depends on the crime really. If someone tortures a ton of little kids and then eats them, I don't think he should be let back into society. If someone was poor and had to steal to eat, then I don't have a problem with that person coming back, as long as he gets a job or whatever.

my mom was in prison for drugs and what not, now shes a manager of a hotel, she really turned her life around.



some people really can change but theres no hope for others
