My parents got divorced when I was still in the single digits. Father got remarried about four years ago, the marriage is currently failing.

Mine divorced in 2001 when I was 21. My mom is remarried and doing fine; my dad's girlfriend of a few years just moved in.

my dad has told me the only reason he hasn't divorced is for me and my sister

My parents are still together. They've been together almost 25 years.

I don't find them to be so. Somewhere after the stupid hippies, marriage became something to jump in to impulsively and the vows became less solid and more frivolous. I am a firm believer that my grandparents' generation was the last somewhat honorable one.
