One part of the movie actually made me feel sad for an alien. It's the scene when they're making the mutating hard-on bearer test fire weapons and then they bring in the alien and make him fire at it, I felt like I could really see the alien being scared for his life.

Now I am all ansy-pamsy for sequel...I wish this was real so I could adopt an alien and he could live at my house and be my fellating lover.

i dont see what could be said in a sequel, it would be like the sequels to the matrix movie. bunch of info wrapped around a solid idea.

there has to be a sequel. we gotta know if the dude gets fixed and if christopher ~saves his people~

yeah but takes like 5 minutes and what would the rest of the movie be about? i know, lets expand the storys universe with useless info and conversation.

I don't think there will be a sequel but it kind of leaves you wanting one just because it was so good.

i heard it was "eh". still want to make my own opinion though. unfortunately, i'm easily disappointed with movies these days.

movies have been sucking lately. but not this one.

I really liked it. It had a great story line, very creative framing/narrative perspective, and it was very thought-provoking. Some of the violent scenes were a bit over the top, but overall it was excellent.

I would have liked it to focus more on the aliens, their landing on earth, more of their back story and progression throughout the film. It started out ok then switched its focus to Wkus for the majority of the remainder. I mean you have extraterrestrial beings in your movie, explore them!

I agree, that kind of info could have made the whole movie more enjoyable. But I liked it nonetheless.

Anytime I hear the name Peter Jackson all I think about is Bad Taste.. Can't believe I watched all of that.

Bad Taste wasn't terrible, it was actually pretty funny. I love the part when the guys pushes his own brains back into his skull and then wraps tape around his head.

i think the reason they didnt go more in to that is because the movie takes place like 20 years after the aliens landed there, so, they've already explored them

I think a sequel would be great, and I'm led to this belief by the first one being so good, and they already said that they wanted to do a sequel if this did good, which leads me to believe they already have a good story worked out, and it won't be some slapped together garbage made to cash in on the popularity of the first

but the movie wasnt supposed to be about the origin of the aliens. were you upset when alien didnt explain where the aliens came from? or where the predators came from? just roll with it, its a movie. every little detail doesnt need to be explained. besides, thats what books are for.[/quote]





no I wasnt with those movies because to me they kept it interesting throughout, D9 did not do that for me.

what about cloverfield?



they never say where "clover" came from. thats actually what i liked the most about that movie.
