okay, i know some of yous guys are open minded and opinionated. two of my favourite things.

now before you click and spout please allow me the opportunity to explain a bit.

they have contacted me directly to ask me to play with them. I like some of the stuff a lot and they want to write new stuff with me (so would obviously get more grimy)

they have good contacts, studio, management, endorsement..basically i'd not have to worry about anything except playing bass and looking handsome.



whaddya recckon in your jaded, round the block, seen it all opinions?.....worth a punt? i've got fuck all else going on thats concrete at the moment so i figure....

Without even clicking the link; Please tell me. Why do you care about OUR opinion of the band? You afraid losing "scene points" or "BM status" or something like if you play in a band that produces music which you like? Iäm sorry, call me childish or what ever but my advice is that DO IT if you want to do it!Don't mind about our opinions.

fuck that!! what ever gave you that idea? i am nothing to do with any fucking scene and holy fucking christ on a bald and branded chimp i cant tell you how much i fucking hate BM. so no.

All I really listen to is death-metal but this band seems okay.I can tell that their music isn't terrible but it does sound like a rock band you'd hear on VH1. If you want to do it then do it.

this music isnt bad, if you like it then why not?



i will say its a bit weird if you do join, considering your past, but weirder things have happened

i liked it too but they it was impossible to continue with them there duders for a variety of reasons.



i WILL be doing more metal..got 2 drone/doom/sludge projects i'm courting and a thrash/death/prog thing with another ex member of Akercocke that might go live any day now...but i need to be busy! can't be dealing with this housewife life for too long.

If Cape Fear get themselves a new name and make more songs like Your Kingdom then I say go for it - to go back on what I said earlier ( yeah, i checked them all).

i agree! name is not bad but just very meh. and "Your Kingdom" rocks in a foo/soundgarden/poppy kinda way!

well i met and did a jamming of guitars and drums and bass with these guys yesterday and it was pretty cool.



we jammed two new songs in 4 hours and i managed to put my Baronial stamp on some of the more meh riffs...still very early days but this could be quite good in a totally un-underground way.

two reasons really..one:- the more i listened to it and tried to write for it the darker my riffs became



and two:- i called to tell em i'd be a bit late for rehearsal (number 2) on sunday due to hangoverage from boozing with Kylesa and Taint and they had a massive go at me as if i was some 18 year old novice.

Cape Fear are looking for a new bassist. The bassist must know how to use a mobile phone, not be paranoid-aggressive or hypocrtical. They must know the difference between a lie, an excuse and the truth and must be dedicated not medicated to the mission of success! The bassist must not be ruled by an angry girlfriend, substituting for his mom. who is going to leave him anyway, regardless of the exit hoops that she runs him through prior to her departure for bigger balls.



If you can play more than one note and are not locked into your fear, make contact AND JOIN A GREAT BAND.
