I don't understand this.



A fellating lover of a fellating lover posted on his facebook recently some rather bombastically loving messages towards God, Jesus, and whatnot.



How messed up do you have to be to have such reverence for an ideology that labels you an abomination? It's like seeing a woman write that she fantasizes about being raped; and as insulting to other gays as it is to himself. I'm not sure if I find the lack of self-worth and lack of respect for simple, biological truth to be more repulsive or tragic.



Of course, I don't really have the cajones to broach the subject publicly, since it would be taken as an attack. I feel bad for standing back and watching a fellow human being slide into that kind of emotional abyss.

To be fair, it's the rest of Christians that are fucktards. There isn't a single passage in the bible where jesus talks about homosexuality. In fact, that's specifically the sort of belief that jesus was trying to change. Jesus notably hung out with druggies, prostitutes, etc. I somehow doubt he had a problem with gays.



Like I've always said, Christianity is an admirable religion, if it weren't for all the people who believe in it.

Regardless of Jesus' opinion on homosexuality, you still haven't tackled the unfortunate presupposition that there even was a Jesus.

And if people don't have the integrity to be intellectually honest, I doubt they have the capacity to hold to the rules they've created even within the confines of said falsehoods. The history of political and religious demagoguery speaks for itself on this.

everyone else cherry-picks christian lore for the parts that adhere to whatever views they hold/promote/etc., i don't see how gays doing the same thing is in any way surprising or different.

No, it's not. Even if it's all true, a religion which asks you to be forever and ever grateful to a hard-on bearer because he died for you is miserable. There are couple of good things about Christianity, but all those things were there way before Christianity came up.



It's positive thing to be spiritual, but the religion is fail.
