start with the hard hitting facts about how people have lived for the last 15 years. councils are bankrupt. ambulances take four hours. the NHS has been raped to its worst capacity in living memory. crime is up. cost of living is high. commodities are more expensive than in decades. social cohesion is the worst it has ever been. we could go on
things really started going south with cameron, austerity, and the response to the GFC. then the brexit shitshow. COVID. triple whammy
of course in a general sense the UK always had to decline since its participation in WW1 and WW2 and the end of its empire. it was all about managing that.
but it will literally take decades to regain the standard of living people had in 2004 (or pick a year) and it's not a sure thing that the country will ever get back there. this in just 15 years
