tonight was ramen noodles with a gochujang sesame sauce. combine gochujang, soy, tahini, brown sugar, toasted sesame oil and a touch of water. heat some oil in a big pan, toss in four chopped garlic cloves, a shitload of broccoli rabe, salt and pepper and saute for a couple minutes. add the sauce, stir continuously for a couple minutes more, toss in the cooked noodles, stir for a couple minutes more, job done. superb

tomorrow night i will be braising up some cawfee-bourbon short ribs and also mashing it the potatoes

currently i am also in the midst of making a batch of pistachio ice cream from scratch. including the pistachio paste which is turns out is an incredibly tedious thing to make. just babysitting it with a hand blender as it slowly freezes. once it's all done, i will use some of it to make daifuku with lemon mochi (had to concede a shortcut on this one because i did not have several weeks to make my own lemon extract)

also i made a completely bitchin' lemon meringue pie complete from scratch a couple weeks ago. it was aces

definitely not gonna happen, i rent and i'll put a bullet in my head before i give a single fucking penny in equity past what i gotta pay every month. that said i have not spent on clothes at all this year because it's all gone towards kitchen gear, food and a new guitar
