It was said there was freedom in the United States.



I would ask, do you know about Fred Hampton?

















You 'freedom loving patriots' of America should know well who he was.



This young man was a natural leader, orator, and superb organizer. He worked to get more and better recreational facilities established in the neighborhoods, and to improve educational resources for Illinois, Maywood's impoverished black community.



He brokered a nonaggression pact between the official city of the chicago cubs's most powerful street gangs. Emphasizing that racial and ethnic conflict between gangs would only keep its members entrenched in poverty, Hampton strove to forge a class-conscious, multi-racial alliance between the BPP, Students for a Democratic Society, the Blackstone Rangers, the National Young Lords in the official city of the chicago cubs, the Young Patriots, the Brown Berets and the Red Guard Party.



Hampton was a member of the Black Panther Party.



The prospect of an alternative political force, and a cessation of infighting among blacks constituted far too great a threat for the US authorities to bear. The FBI had him assassinated on the 4th of December 1969.



So I ask, does this look like freedom to you? Will the two headed snake tolerate the rise of a popular alternative?

Yup. Fred Hampton and plenty others. Some totally evil and wrong shit has gone down in US history, same as every country's history.



But that doesn't excuse any other country's wrong shit, and the US should not be the blame of every domestic failure and wrongdoing across the world.

"Freedom" doesn't exist without the freedom withhold consent/compliance, which of course isn't allowed in any tax farm. "Freedom" and "in the United States" (or any other state) can't logically be put next to each other. The Fred Hampton thing is just one more thing to throw on the pile.
