I stole a cooked chicken from Tesco once. Hung it on the hook of the trolley and forgot to put it on the conveyor at the checkout

i killed two newborn stray kittens (which just happened to be at our garage) by placing them on the floor, put alcohol on them and lit them up. they didn't die right away, though...another stray cat came over and bit them both in the neck (which killed them) then it left. i think it was about to eat them both but it got turned off by the alcohol
the best thing about that was the stray mother cat was watching the whole time when i scooped the kittens out from under one of the garage shelves using a shovel

well i will say not in his defense but by way of explanation that growing up in a city with countless stray dogs and cats changes one's human-animal relations; in many poor countries animal cruelty is more normalised, even so shadowalk's example is extreme

There's actually a 'method' here - when companies clean up their private lots (hectares-large lots) occupied by really dirt poor squatters/shanty towns (illegal occupants), they'd pay people to get some stray cats, tie a piece of cloth on their tails drenched in flammable liquids and then they light them up. These cats would then scatter on these shanty towns and since they're mostly made of light/easily-ignitable materials, you'd have a fire going in a matter of minutes. The fire department arrives, cleans house and the local news would say nothing about what started the fires. The next day, you'd see the entire lot fenced up with 'private property' signs all over the place. It really is the most effective way to secure your lot because if they if they did it through the proper channels, you'd have a media-frenzy against said companies and they'd wave the unsympathetic/inhumane card on them. That's savage real-estate for you.
one thing's for sure - i would never, ever do that to a dog and i'd probably have the same reaction as everyone if i heard of anyone doing said to a dog
besides dusty, this is your thread and i just participated
